My Hot Chocolate: Submitted by: Bill | Date Added: 1 Sep 2013 Ingredients:

1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons cocoa
2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 cups milk (whole or 2%) 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Whipped cream
Chocolate shavings (optional)

Cooking Instructions:

Measure the water, cocoa, and sugar in a decent size glass measuring cup or even a large coffee mug. Stir well so it is all the way blended. Microwave on high for 1-2 minutes to make the chocolate syrup. Stir in milk and vanilla and microwave until warm. Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings or mini chips, sprinkles, etc.
Variation: Snickers hot chocolate - stir in 2 teaspoons of quality caramel syrup and 2 teaspoons of hazelnut syrup in the hot chocolate before topping off with whipped cream.
